Fighters laugh as they move on the rear of a transport truck, speeding alongside a series of nine dead bodies and moving in the direction of the sinking African evening sky.

"Observe this extensive work. See this act of genocide," a fighter exclaims.

The individual beams as he directs the recording device on himself and his companion combatants, their RSF identification clearly shown: "These people will all die like this."

The combatants are celebrating a massacre that aid workers believe resulted in the deaths of more than thousands of civilians in the Sudan's city of the Darfur city in recent weeks.

A City Cut Off from the World

Having held the urban area under blockade for nearly an extended period, from the summer the militia proceeded to reinforce its control and prevent access for the surviving residents.

Space-based imagery show that forces started to erect a massive earth barrier - a built-up earthen wall - surrounding the boundaries of al-Fashir, sealing off access routes and preventing humanitarian assistance.

While the blockade escalated, multiple individuals were killed in an militia assault on a mosque on September 19th, while the international organization reported dozens further were killed in unmanned aircraft and heavy weapon strikes on a refugee settlement in the autumn.

Disturbing Footage Shows Weaponless Civilians Shot

In the early morning on 26 October the RSF overwhelmed the final military defenses and captured the central base in the community, the command center of the Military Unit, as the army pulled back.

Among the most graphic videos to surface and analysed revealed the consequences of a atrocity at a campus structure on the western side of the city, where dozens lifeless forms were visible strewn throughout the area.

A senior man clad in a traditional garment remained alone amid the corpses. He looked to glance as a combatant equipped with a rifle moved descending the staircase in the direction of the victim. Raising his rifle, the gunman fired a solitary round at the individual, who fell to the surface lifeless.

"Why is this individual still living," one militiaman exclaimed. "Shoot this one."

Space-based imagery captured on October 26th seemed to verify that executions were furthermore carried out on the thoroughfares of al-Fashir, based on a report published by the academic research center.

A key observer who communicated stated they had observed "numerous of our kin being killed - the victims were gathered in one place and everyone killed."

RSF Leaders Try to Implement Damage Control

Posts showing its militiamen providing aid to inhabitants were circulated by several individuals, while the paramilitary's public relations unit published multiple recordings allegedly to demonstrate the compassionate handling of government detainees.

In spite of the digital effort being employed by the militia, their actions in the city have provoked international outrage.
